Three stories from ‘Hôtel Souvenir’ featured in ‘Panache.’

“But the more I gazed at the moribund pastures from this odd view, the more it resembled a great potter’s field. Spurred by all this talk of the dead, I thought of old friends who’d long gone lost, their meek lives eclipsed well before their time. My mind drifted to car accidents, suicides, overdoses—horrors that had swept up acquaintances and comrades one after another, a litany of bad memories and catastrophes kicked up by the staggering almost-winter winds. And my grandfather, a ghost even now, seemed to haunt the shores of these sad memories as if he were already part.”

“Lethe,” “Hotels,” and “Sunt Lacrimae Rerum” (from the short-story cycle Hôtel Souvenir) will be featured in the inaugural issue of Pânache.  Pânache is available both electronically and in print, and should hit the presses sometime in late spring.
